LGBT History for Beginners

On 30th January, to mark the imminent start of LGBT History Month, I gave my presentation, LGBT History for Beginners for Sutton LGBT Forum.

For those who are interested, here are PDF versions of the PowerPoint presentation and my presentation notes. (Be aware that the notes are written by me for me and are possibly a little vague in some respects.)

If you would like the original files, feel free to contact me at the address in the blog's header.

By the way. the Sutton LGBT Forum has set up displays for LGBT History Month in the following 5 Sutton Libraries:
Sutton Main - St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA
Sutton Life Centre - Alcorn Road, Sutton, SM3 9PX
North Cheam - Church Road, Cheam, Surrey, SM3 8QHWestcroft Centre - Westcroft Road, Carshalton, SM5 2TG
Worcester Park - Stone Place, Windsor Road, Worcester Park, KT4 8ES

There will be two displays: one on this year's Music theme which will change weekly and one static display on the services offered and work done by the Sutton LGBT Forum.

On 26th February from 7 pm at the Sutton Main Library,
Dr Louise Chambers will be presenting a talk, Oh, You Pretty Things!, on the manifestations and influence of sexuality in pop musics in the 1970s and 1980s. Free event.
